Individual Therapy

Telehealth with your dog

I provide individual one-on-one therapy for adults both in-person and/or via telehealth depending on the need. I meet my clients where they are at, build upon their strengths and create a space for my clients to be vulnerable, to be seen and understood, just as they are. It is when we feel safe that we can explore our past hurts, face and challenge our biggest fears and put in the necessary work to make valuable and necessary changes in our lives and relationships.

We will spend the first appointment discussing and collaboratively identifying your desired treatment goals. Sessions are 50-minutes in length and occur once-a-week, however, frequency of sessions may vary based on unique and personal needs.

EMDR Therapy

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is an extensively researched, effective psychotherapy method proven to help people recover from trauma and other distressing life experiences. The experience is still remembered, but the fight, flight, or freeze response and emotional reactivity associated with the original event is no longer present (EMDRIA, 2022). I utilize EMDR treatment to help my clients heal from their past, whether that is a single incident or multiple occurrences they may have experienced in childhood or later in life. Trauma can have a lasting impact on our ability to function optimally and can show up in various ways - as symptoms of depression, anxiety, PTSD, chronic grief and loss, and in self-defeating patterns of behaving and thinking. Indeed, distressing events can impact multiple areas of our lives including our self-image, our careers and our relationships and attachment to others.  EMDR treatment supports individuals so they can move forward in their lives without being held back by their past.
